Remember:

1. Hottest part of the day is 12-2 take the children indoors or find plenty of shade

2, Dehydration will cause headaches and lethargic behavior so make sure you give the children lots of fluid

3, Sun-cream first thing in the morning. I use P20 as it stays on all day and is waterproof so you do not need to keep re-applying. Check instructions and for allergies.

4. Cover up with hat, and T-shirts throughout the day especially during the hottest period

5. Get in the garden have lots of fun with foot painting, paddling pools and make a tent for rest period.

Always put the children's well being first and foremost and follow simple rules about being safe in the sun.

We run a course on safety for children and Safe in the sun is incorporated within this area
